KIDS •  ICE HOCKEY

LET'S HIT THE ICE

Kids get fit, feel healthy and end up brimming with confidence through partaking in team sports. QUEENS offers term time courses for both advanced & intermediate players, Vid, our resident ice hockey coach, has competed all around Europe & North America!

Grownups can watch from either of our two cafés that overlook the whole rink, with The SIN BIN serving hot-coffees & teas.  Or slip away to MEATliquor for something a little stronger. (QUEENS does not offer ice hockey for adults).

  • Group hockey lessons are for children aged 5 & up.
  • Your child must have passed NISA Level 5 in our Learn to Skate programme.
  • The course price includes: 1 lesson per week, level badge and certificate.
  • Each course runs for between 4-7 weeks, depending on school term length.

Simply choose from Saturday mornings, or Sunday Mornings or Tuesdays after-school

Each course starts afresh at the beginning of each school term & varies depending on school term length.

KIT REQUIREMENTS

  • Your child must have their own: gloves, elbow and shin guards, helmet with face guard, neck guard.
  • Suitable for all kids, over the age of 5 & have passed NISA Level 5 in our Learn to Skate programme
  • Hockey skates are not available for hire. Gloves, elbow and shin guards, helmet with face guard, neck guard, are not available for hire.

  • GOAL-KEEPING • basic stance • parallel shuffle • lateral t-glide • forward and backward moves• stick save • body save • glove save
