COMMITMENT PHOBE?
We've moved away from a set course length - as we know so many of you are busy and need the flexibility.
As a guide to which level you are likely to join and what you will learn on these levels, please see below.
Beginners
You’ll learn the fundamentals of skating on your own. Forwards and backwards plus important skills such as stopping and two footed glides in a straight line and on curves.
Intermediate
Here you will be learning how to develop more power and flow both forwards and backwards. You will also learn how to balance on one-foot, forward edges, forward crossovers, chasses and begin some simple turns.
Upper Intermediate
Now you can skate, you will learn some more advanced skills including one-footed turns, backwards crossovers, backward chasses, backwards edges and begin spinning.
Advanced
Coming soon / this will be combined with Upper Intermediate before we launch it's own category, later in 2021
With the fundamentals covered, we will start to introduce you to more advanced skills, including sequences of steps, twizzles, jumps and spins. At this level, the class is less structured & is mostly 'free-form' interactions with your instructor.
QUEENS is one of the favourite practice rinks for many of the Dancing on Ice pros & stars so you never know who you might be sharing the rink with!
